What an afternoon – taking a powerful Power class by Gary at 3 p.m. followed by teaching Yin right away afterwards. I peppered my morning with asana (see below for some shots that I really had to work for). But I needed to get on my mat and get serious with Power, I’m convinced I lead a better class if I’ve given it my all at Gary’s class beforehand.
I love teaching Yin Yoga, every time. But today was special because my husband joined me. There were 24 other lovely souls in the room but it really made me happy to know that he was there, giving it his all, hoping I could help guide him into the process. My husband is a hard-core meditator, he knows how to sit still for hours on end. But yoga is something that he hasn’t practiced in awhile. So it was really exciting to me to have him there!
Now it is time to get into my jammies. Pleased with the successes of the day (madly ripping a huge dead rosemary out of the ground this morning was a big win in addition to today’s yoga journey at The Ashram.
Before I left for class – Yesterday I started to really get the feel of headstand with non-standard arm placement. It really changes the feel of the pose. For some reason it conjures up a certain degree of fear. Silly, I know how to roll out of it. I’ll be working on these variations, I can tell its good for me.
