Oh my goodness, teacher training course is so good. Yesterday we played a game which I shall call Yoga Charades – I worked with 3 students in rotation. I would tell one student the name of the pose that they were to guide the others to into, then tell me the name in Sanskrit. It was so much fun – but it is a lot harder than it sounds to guide someone’s body parts around the mat when they don’t know what they are supposed to be doing.
On lunch break we played with a little partner yoga. Davin came up with the group posture, he is very inventive. It is an absolutely awesome shot if I do say so myself 🙂
I really like the trainees, it is really a nice group of people gathered together through a love of the practice. It is cool to see them grow in confidence and ability. And I’m learning a TON working with them. Most pleasant. 🙂
The pose of the day for #healinghearts is Parsovottanasana. I only rarely practice this pose but I think I will start to again, it is a great way for me to build knee strength and not go hypermobile.
Words can’t describe how happy I am that it is a 3 day work week. I am looking forward to a few days of nesting at home. I have been incredibly busy of late – I’m not complaining, just saying. I haven’t been pulling my weight in chores and so I can do a little catch up. And of course I’ll definitely be able to get on my mat this week consistently, hooray. It makes all the difference to practice asana regularly!
