Vrksasana

The #justbepresent IG challenge pose of the day (12-6-14) is Vrksasana, Tree Pose.  We don’t practice tree all that much at The Ashram but I do teach it at IDRI.  It is an incredibly grounding pose.

I’m standing in half lotus – but if that isn’t accessible, you place the sole of your foot against the standing leg’s inner calf or thigh.  Don’t place your foot against the knee, that would place too much lateral pressure. 🙂

It is going to be a big yoga day – starting with Gary’s class at 10 a.m.  Nutrition lectures today.  Need to walk the dogs in an hour, so I ought to meditate now.  Over and out :
