Scarlett the Prius

If you have been reading my blog lately you might know that I’ve been having an icky couple of days.  Been sick, stressed about all I need to do at IDRI, blah blah.  All first world problems, I’ve been a real Eeyore.  I will endeavor to be more positive but first I must vent about yesterday’s challenges.

Sad list

1) I bilaterally strained my hands yesterday pulling off my gloves post BL3 session.  I do not know what exactly I did wrong, but as I pulled them off both thumbs felt like they were on fire.  They still hurt if I put much pressure on them.  So I am guessing no Power Yoga class for me this morning 🙁

2) Scarlett the Prius broke down on me yesterday on I-405.  This is a well traveled corridor, lucky it was at 3:30 p.m. so it wasn’t quite rush hour.  I was able to get her to the right shoulder so I wasn’t causing a major snafu but my heart was racing and it was kind of hard to breathe (I suffer from anxiety issues).  Thank God for my mantra!  Scarlett tells me that I need to have her hybrid engine checked.  I called for her to be towed immediately.  Half hour wait they say, Oh GOD!  All the cars whirring by me and all sorts of bad scenarios racing through my mind.  Ok, I will text my lovely sister and friend to keep my mind occupied.  The State Trooper totally startled me when he rapped on my window.  Cop lights flashing now.  Holy cats I didn’t see him coming.  I assure him that I have tow truck on route,.  He’s a nice guy, tells me to get in my car and keep my belt on.  Tow truck driver super cool, gets me to the dealership.  blah blah. I have a rental Versa until we figure out what ails Ms. Scarlett . 🙂

3) I still have a cold

How I hope I get this issue resolved quick and painlessly.  I love my Scarlett.  I detest driving unfamiliar vehicles.  I don’t want to take the Versa to work.  Seattle seems very far away to  this chicken shit at the moment.

On a happier note it is Romeo’s 3rd birthday.  How I love that gorgeous sweet doggie.  I am most grateful he is in my life.
