Albuquerque Yoga asana Yoga yoga instruction

Well, nearing the end of the month.  Time is flying by in ABQ to be sure.  I have been having fun with the #yogagivesbackchallenge.  I was worried about yesterday’s pose, Peakcock.  It is a pose I really struggle with.  But I managed to pull off a decent one, held it for a few seconds and I didn’t fall on my face.

decent Peacock – my knees are a bit bent but I’m grateful I didn’t fall on my face

I barely practiced yesterday and I’m not happy about it.  Today I’m teaching two classes and darn it i WILL practice on my own….. There simply isn’t time for me to take a class.  I need to take poor Romeo to the vet.  He’s scratching at his tail incessantly and even has a bare patch of skin from it.  So he has won a trip to the Vet this afternoon and I’m the lucky one who gets to take him

Today’s pose for #yogagivesbackchallenge is twisted lotus.  That shouldn’t be an issue whatsoever.  I just gotta figure out an interesting backdrop which really is half the fun. No yoga yet though – I must consume my morning coffee.

Speaking of which, I have found a coffee shop that I prefer to Starbucks. Satellite coffee, a sister company to Flying Star, my favorite restaurant chain in ABQ.  Satellite coffee is situated in same strip mall as the realty office where I am teaching yoga so I’m bound to be going there often.  Super comfy chairs with good tables, really good tea.  I haven’t had their coffee yet but people rave about it.  I noticed a gal studying biology in there yesterday and that gave me a burst of realization that will be me in a few months. I’m not worried about taking biology, but Anatomy and Physiology is bound to be time consuming.  Luckily I really like A&P.  But it sure will be different to be a student again!

I’ll post my yoga picture later today.
