Conquering My Fears

Ok, I just saw this commencement speech by Jim Carrey and I was really moved.  He’s a brilliant actor, eloquent, and super funny (imo when he isn’t doing shit like dumb and dumber).  I have to share with Cyberspace.

I have also been incredibly inspired by Erich Sciffman of late).  I have liked him since the moment I heard of him many years ago.  I have voraciously watched his segments on the awesome yogaanytime.com

Two of his billion awesome comments.

Shut and LISTEN.

Erich is extremely straightforward, experienced (50 some years of practice!), trained by the true yoga masters in India and EXTREMELY ENGAGING.  How I wish I could get to know him! Attend even one of his classes.  He kept me sane on my transition to ABQ, when my insomnia was so bad that I woke multiple times every night.  I would listen to one set of his recordings.  I used his guide to meditations and had amazing experiences.  Namaste Erich! 🙂

I have  lot of fears and I need to conquer them to succeed in this life.  I have been having vivid dreams in the past week – in one I was given 12 or so kittens and last night I bought neon red and blue lizards that I accidentally freed and had to find.  I was told by an enlightened confidant that these animals represent my fears of late.  I’m really fretting about getting into PIMA.  I had a bitch of a time finding my diplomas which made me panic and look everywhere. Harlan was the one to find them for me so I really appreciate him for that.

The pose of the day – I think I will take it on our driveway.  One Pro is that the view is AMAZING from that vantage point.  One con is fear of freaking my neighbors out.  🙂

I'd love to hear what you think :)
