Albuquerque Yoga asana Basenji Yoga yoga instruction

Rebecca asked me the other day in class whether there is an asana dedicated to Flamingos.  I was unaware of one, but I have done a little homework and have come across two examples.  The first is Kathryn Budig, not sure who the the other is by – but it is SUCH AN AWESOME picture.  I’ve tried to duplicate the second one, since I happened to be decked out in all pink 🙂 But clearly I need to work on it (it IS harder than it looks!)

Taken in the lovely Vivify Studio.

I took a few other shots on my way to Vivify this morning. The dogs are so dang cute, it was hard to leave them but BOY!  did I need to take a class.

There were at least a dozen Hot Air Balloons in the distance but these two were closest. One of my favorite things about ABQ mornings

I am not teaching today – right now I don’t have any Sunday classes but I do hope that will change.  I would really like to teach a Yin Yoga class on Sunday afternoons and I am making the pitch to be sure.  🙂  But hey, I am rather glad to have a day off from teaching.  Much to do around the house and I also just feel like chilling with the Basenjis 🙂

I might also surprise the hell out of my husband by making dinner.  He’s worked all weekend, I am guessing that he would appreciate it….
