Woke up this morning, watched some Khan Academy videos on the nervous system. Interesting, but I started getting sleepy after a few hours of it. So I had this great idea to go take some photos down at Marina Park in Kirkland. I’m very fond of that Park, I have some very fond moments down there. I just didn’t realize how flipping cold it was. There were little snowflakes falling, and the dock was sorta slippery….. but I decided that I wasn’t going to be a weenie. I am glad I did it, but I couldn’t feel my toes by the end of the fun. I was quite literally shaking with cold. Oh well. Worth it. Exhilarating actually.
An hour later, I was at The Ashram, and feeling cold was far from my mind. Great class, each one gets better. I think I might even be re-developing muscles that were destroyed by going back to school. I’m also finding it much easier to stay present in the room. It is a very meditative exercise there. No music, no muss, no fuss. Just a hot hot hot room and one seriously gifted instructor that has always gotten me to give my best. Which is not what it used to be…. but I’m going to do my darndest to make as many classes as I can. See where I can get too before I go back to the Land of Enchantment. And how lovely to see so many old friends there 🙂
Life is good.
